Born from a shared love of travel and the desire to elevate the souvenir experience, ILISAH was founded in 2025 by a couple who explored the world together.
As passionate travelers, they craved more than mass produced trinkets; they envisioned impactful and meaningful keepsakes that told a deep story, captured the essence of a place, and left a lasting impression. The idea? Beautiful, home goods that reflect Africa’s rich culture and wildlife while empowering local artisans.
With this vision, they ventured to Nanyuki, starting with just two skilled women tailors. Every product is designed to blend artistry with purpose, crafted with care, rooted in sustainability, and made to honor the earth.
Today, ILISAH is on a mission to redefine travel souvenir gifting for lodges, boutique hotels, and discerning travelers who seek keepsakes with deeper meaning: beauty with purpose, elegance with impact.

Meet the Heart Behind ILISAH
Meet Anne Koki, our Operations & Inventory Assistant, who ensures everything runs smoothly in our small studio, from production to quality control. Leah, one of our talented tailors, is also our beloved studio chef, nourishing the team with her delicious meals. And there's Beatrice, a dedicated tailor and mother of four, whose passion and precision shine through in every piece she creates. Together, they are more than just a team ,they are ILISAH’s second family.
