ILISAH is a Kenyan luxury lifestyle brand creating handmade home textiles, travel accessories and safari gifts inspired by the landscapes, wildlife and quiet beauty of East Africa. Thoughtfully designed and handcrafted in our workshop in Kenya, our collections are made for people who want to bring home more than a souvenir, they want to carry a memory and a lasting connection to a place they love.

Our name is inspired by the Swahili word asili, meaning origin, a reflection of everything we believe in. It speaks to where things come from, the hands that make them and the stories that give them meaning. By reimagining the word, we created a name that is uniquely ours while staying deeply rooted in our Kenyan heritage and our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.

ILISAH began with a simple belief: the objects we bring home from our travels should carry meaning. They should remind us not only of where we've been, but of how a place made us feel. We wanted to create beautifully made pieces that celebrate Africa's wildlife, honour local craftsmanship and become part of everyday life long after the journey ends.

Meet the Heart Behind ILISAH

Vivianne

Vivianne is the youngest member of the ILISAH team. She joined our workshop eager to put her studies into practice and gain hands-on experience in tailoring. Passionate, detail-oriented, and quick to learn, she has grown into a talented tailor whose confidence and skills continue to shine with every piece she creates.

Faith

Faith is a mother of one and the keen eye behind quality control at ILISAH. She ensures every product meets our standards before it leaves the workshop, bringing care and attention to every detail. Beyond her role, she's also known for preparing delicious meals that bring the team together and make our workshop feel like home.
